Part C

Michael March 8, 2012

Part C combines both Part A and Part B, covering all medical services with some additional advantages.  Part C offers specialized care for individuals who require intensive health care services.  Part C offers special benefits such as lower premiums or cost of services.  Medicare Advantage plans are obtainable from private providers known as Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAO).  Each of such organizations is under contract from the CMS or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  You can ensure your medical services even if you move out of your plan’s coverage area if you apply for Plan C.  You can also include prescription drug coverage or Part D along with your part C plan.
